2004/2005 Year in Review

Welcome Back Picnic (August 2004)

The LSF Welcome Back Picnic is an annual event that takes place out at the Football Stadium shelters.  We typically play some games, along with eating hot dogs and burgers.

Hog Roast ( September 2004)

The Hog Roast is also an annual event that takes place at the Muncie Water Bowl on the north side of town.  Eating is the main attraction, however, we will throw the football, play baseball, and dump water on unsuspecting people.  Because that is just fun.

Canoeing at Turkey Run ( September 2004)

Usually several Lutheran Student Fellowships from Indiana will come canoeing with us at Turkey Run State Park.  There are typically three people per canoe, and we usually like to pair two people up that can keep the canoe afloat.

Seminary (November 2004)

Last year we went to the Fort Wayne Seminary for a Higher Things Retreat.  We stayed at the Fort Wayne Seminary and a few lectures during two days, along with just hanging out at the Seminary.  This year, we will probably have the retreat right here in Muncie.

Leaf Raking (November 2004)

After the leaves have fallen, the Andersons (member of the Grace Congregation) allows the LSF to come and rake leaves at their house in Farmland.  Our labor is usually awarded by a hot meal and lots of fun.  At the end of the day, it is customary to sign the guestbook before leaving.

Table Talk (April 2005)

During the year, the LSF usually has two "Table Talks" at Pastor Cage's house.  It involved a meal provided by the Cage's, and then some sort of activity.  Last year we had a guest lecture.  This year... who know?

Higher Things Conference (April 2005)

The Indiana University holds a Higher Things Conference in Bloomington every year, which involves a few speakers and lots of fun.  We typically spend the night in Bloomington and eat a few meals on IU's campus.

Ivanhoes (May 2005)

Every once and a while, LSF will depart the Muncie area and venture up to Upland for some Ice Cream at Ivanhoes.  We decided to get some ice cream Sunday night, because (as you can see by the attire) the weather was calling for some cooling down.
